Instrument Cell Operator

Based in Wotton, Surrey - own transport required due to rural location of the site
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble, calibrate, and test instruments in accordance with defined work instructions and production schedules.
- Review assembly instructions and parts lists to prepare for tasks; gather necessary parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
- Assemble components accurately by checking connections for correct fit and securely fastening parts and subassemblies.
- Verify completed assemblies meet specifications by conducting precise measurements and quality checks.
- Ensure equipment remains operational by performing preventative maintenance, following manufacturer guidelines, and troubleshooting issues; escalate for repair when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment by adhering to company procedures, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage inventory by monitoring stock levels, anticipating supply needs, placing and expediting orders, and confirming receipt of materials.
- Complete work order documentation and accurately log transactions within the ERP system.
- Identify and raise quality concerns in alignment with established Quality Assurance procedures.
What You Will Need
- Proven experience working with electrical components, including proficiency in soldering.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and workplace systems; ability to follow detailed procedures accurately.
- Strong understanding of key principles, concepts, and techniques relevant to assembly and manufacturing disciplines.
- Effective contributor to team objectives, consistently delivering assigned results.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Well-organised, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Collaborative team player with a proactive mindset.
