Instrument Cell Operator

Permanent

Based in Wotton, Surrey - own transport required due to rural location of the site

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble, calibrate, and test instruments in accordance with defined work instructions and production schedules.
  • Review assembly instructions and parts lists to prepare for tasks; gather necessary parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
  • Assemble components accurately by checking connections for correct fit and securely fastening parts and subassemblies.
  • Verify completed assemblies meet specifications by conducting precise measurements and quality checks.
  • Ensure equipment remains operational by performing preventative maintenance, following manufacturer guidelines, and troubleshooting issues; escalate for repair when necessary.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment by adhering to company procedures, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage inventory by monitoring stock levels, anticipating supply needs, placing and expediting orders, and confirming receipt of materials.
  • Complete work order documentation and accurately log transactions within the ERP system.
  • Identify and raise quality concerns in alignment with established Quality Assurance procedures.
What You Will Need
  • Proven experience working with electrical components, including proficiency in soldering.
  • Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and workplace systems; ability to follow detailed procedures accurately.
  • Strong understanding of key principles, concepts, and techniques relevant to assembly and manufacturing disciplines.
  • Effective contributor to team objectives, consistently delivering assigned results.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Well-organised, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
