Job summary

AQ Wiring Systems Rockford in Salisbury offers a fully funded Level 6 Electromechanical Engineering Degree through a five-year apprenticeship. The programme combines practical on-site training with academic study, starting September 2027, with four weeks per year on site at the university.

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 A Levels at grade B or above (or equivalent) including Mathematics; maths test to A level standard
GCSE grade 4-9 in English and Mathematics
Strong problem-solving, teamwork and communication skills; ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Responsibilities

Generate production manufacturing data from customer drawings
Collaborate with suppliers to find technical solutions
Analyse operational issues to improve design for manufacture and assembly
Demonstrate manufacturing process delivers on costs, quality and cycle times
Design products from customer requirements
Manage electro/mechanical system designs from concept to detail on time and within budget
Set test requirements for products
Present concepts and solutions to customers (including MOD)
