Job summary

Proactive Technical Limited in Bury St Edmunds is seeking an experienced Mechanical Assembler on an urgent temporary basis. The role involves assembling mechanical, electrical and electronic components across the production line, with a broad practical skill set and a focus on quality.

It is a temporary contract, 37.5 hours per week, with Monday to Thursday working days and a day shift. Overtime is available for those able to contribute across the production process.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in mechanical assembly is essential.
• Experience with electrical and/or electronics assembly.
• Ability to read technical drawings and assembly documentation.
• Flexible and adaptable to varied assembly work.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical components to precise specifications.
• Carry out electrical and electronic assembly work.
• Perform soldering, wiring, crimping and general assembly activities as required.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams and assembly instructions.
• Use a range of hand tools, power tools and electromechanical equipment.
• Carry out assembly and testing activities to a high standard.
• Maintain quality control and ensure work meets required standards.
• Work across different areas of the production line as required.
• Follow all relevant health and safety and manufacturing procedures.
