Electromagnetic Warfare (EW) Systems Engineer

Location: Stevenage or Bristol (Relocation support available)
Salary: Up to £50,000 - £58,000 (dependent on experience)
Working Pattern: Hybrid - Minimum 3 days per week onsite

The Role:

We are seeking an Electromagnetic Warfare (EW) Systems Engineer to lead the design, integration, and validation of cutting-edge EW weapon systems. You will act as the technical authority for EW capabilities, ensuring systems meet operational requirements while collaborating with suppliers, customers, and cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. EW System Design & Verification: Develop and validate RF systems, threat analyses, and modelling/simulation tools.
  2. Requirements Management: Serve as the EW requirements authority, using tools like DOORS.
  3. Systems Integration: Oversee end-to-end integration of complex EW systems.
  4. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with internal/external partners to align technical and operational needs.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Systems Engineering Expertise: Proven experience in complex system development (ideally defence/EW).
  • EW Knowledge: Understanding of Electromagnetic Countermeasures (ECM) and Support/Surveillance (ES) systems.
  • Full Lifecycle Delivery: Experience from concept to validation, including capability assessments.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with requirements management (DOORS), integration, and risk analysis.
