Cummins is seeking an enthusiastic Thermal Modelling Engineer student to join our SBPD team in Milton Keynes for a placement commencing Summer 2027. You will work on Li-ion battery pack simulations and gain insight into how a global engineering leader drives product development.
You will learn to use 3D CFD tools (Ansys Fluent, FloEFD) and 1D system tools (GT-Suite, MATLAB/Simulink), develop thermal models, and collaborate with senior engineers to inform design decisions across development
We are looking for an enthusiastic Thermal Modelling Engineer student to join our team specializing in Li-ion battery packs for our simulation-based product development (SBPD) in Milton Keynes.
During your placement with us, you will learn how a major global organization operates, gaining the tools and exposure you will need to become an expert in the industry.
This role is available to candidates who qualify for a placement year and will commence Summer of 2027.
The requirements are to be onsite for part of the week so you will need to be able to travel or relocate to the location on your own behalf.
