Job summary

Mane Contract Services is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Winder to join a specialist engineering and manufacturing team in the UK. You will wind coils, assemble rotors and stators, and perform tests and inspections to ensure high quality.

The role requires hands-on experience with electro-mechanical assembly, soldering of small components, and the ability to interpret technical drawings. A BPSS check will be conducted. 25 days leave and private healthcare are among the benefits.

Qualifications

• Strong electro-mechanical assembly skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions.
• Soldering experience, particularly with small components.
• Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity.
• Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic IT skills.

Responsibilities

• Wind, assemble and install wire coils for electric rotors, stators, armatures and other components, manually and with machinery.
• Assemble components into finished products following drawings and quality standards.
• Conduct electrical and mechanical tests including Hi-Pot, core loss and phase balance tests.
• Inspect components, identify faults and perform repairs or rework.
• Measure components and clearances with precision equipment.
• Operate hand tools and machinery safely and effectively.
• Carry out quality inspections and testing on finished assemblies.
• Maintain accurate production records and report issues.
• Keep a clean, organized workspace per 5S standards.
• Support continuous improvement activities and process enhancements.
• Follow health and safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Read engineering drawings and technical docs; support cross-training when needed.
