Job description

Standard Work Hours:

  • Weekend Nights F-Su 4pm – 4am

Compensation:

  • Hourly Rate: $30.90 to $35.03, commensurate with experience and qualifications
  • Sign-On Bonus: $5,000 upon successful hiring
  • Shift Differential: $6.50/hr

Responsibilities:

  • Design minor electrical circuits, test, and troubleshoot electrical, PLC, and electronic circuits used for machine and equipment control.
  • Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic circuits.
  • Install electrical and electronic controls on machines and equipment by reading and interpreting schematics or blueprints.
  • Have knowledge of electrical power and water distribution systems.
  • Perform basic mechanical repairs.
  • Perform the work of lower-classifications as needed and may direct their work.
  • Dismantle electrical machinery and replace defective parts such as brushes and armatures.
  • Install and monitor performance of electrical equipment for hazards, adjustments, or replacement.
  • Interpret blueprints, sketches, or verbal instructions.
  • Lay out, assemble, install, test, repair, and adjust electrical fixtures, apparatus, equipment, wiring, and services including panels, breakers, and conduit.
  • Mount motors, transformers, and lighting fixtures and complete circuits as per diagrams.
  • Perform repairs, installations, replacements, and testing of electrical circuits and equipment using appropriate tools and instruments.
  • Perform additional work as directed by the Group Leader.

Qualifications:

  • Two-year Associate degree and 2-4 years of work experience required.
  • Ability to use a computer to search for parts and enter work into a CMMS.

Physical Requirements:

  • Standing for long periods, sitting, manual dexterity, stooping, bending.
  • Passing a pre-employment physical including a baseline test of lifting a minimum of 50 pounds.
  • Passing a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

  • Experience designing minor electrical circuits and troubleshooting electrical, PLC, and electronic circuits.
  • Experience troubleshooting hydraulic and pneumatic circuits.
  • Ability to install electrical and electronic controls by reading schematics or blueprints.
  • Knowledge of electrical power and water distribution systems.
  • Ability to perform basic mechanical repairs.
  • Skill in interpreting blueprints, sketches, or verbal instructions.
