Electro Mechanical Design – Contract Peterborough

An opportunity to join the dynamic Electrification and Energy Solutions division as a Battery Design Engineer. The team focuses on delivering advanced electrified powertrain, zero-emissions products, and related technologies and services. Key focus areas include batteries, fuel cells, motors, inverters, microgrid controllers, charging systems, energy storage, lifecycle solutions, and component integration for ePowertrain solutions across industries.

You will help build and scale innovative technologies, products, and services to contribute to a more sustainable world.

Your background includes

• Experience in both mechanical and electrical engineering, particularly in producing electric powertrains for machinery retrofitting.
• Proficiency in Creo and electrical harness development.
• Designing electrical components and hardware.
• Conducting risk assessments (DFMEAs).
• 3D CAD design of electrical system components, assemblies, low-voltage harnesses, and high-voltage cables.

This is an onsite role, with potential flexible working arrangements considered on a case-by-case basis.
