Job summary

Unknown Client is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Design Engineer to design bespoke special purpose scientific equipment. You will work under senior engineers to produce detailed designs of sub-systems and components.

Projects run at group and local levels, so some travel is expected; the ideal candidate has an engineering degree, hands-on experience, and 3D CAD expertise.

Our client needs an experienced Engineer to design bespoke special purpose scientific equipment.

Under the guidance of senior engineers the Engineer will provide detailed designs of sub-systems and components.

Projects are conducted at both group and local levels so some travel is expected.

The ideal candidate will have the following profile:

• Engineering degree or equivalent
• Hands on experience
• 3D CAD design experience
• Microsoft office capable (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint)
• Accurate, thorough, consistent, pro-active, assertive
• Good communication skills
• Team player

Any or all of the following would be pluses:

• Experience in material science
• Experience in vacuum systems, pneumatics, gas systems, automation
• Professional registration with a relevant Engineering body
