Job summary

React Recruitment Ltd is seeking an Electro Mechanical Design Engineer for a permanent, full-time, office-based role in Harlow, Essex. You will develop conceptual designs for new products and prepare detailed drawings and manufacturing information.

Key requirements include a relevant degree or HNC/D, plus experience in electro-mechanical design and CAD tools. The role uses ISO 9001 standards and involves cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Meets at least one relevant engineering qualification and practical electro-mechanical experience.
• Experience designing electrical distribution equipment and enclosures.
• Proficient in 2D/3D CAD tools and producing manufacturing information.

Responsibilities

• Mechanical design and development of sheet metal enclosures and structural items.
• Electrical design and development of Low Voltage power distribution systems.
• Creating detailed drawings using either 2D or 3D CAD.
• Producing detailed bills of materials and manufacturing instructions.
• Ensuring designs comply with engineering standards and ISO 9001.
• Collaborating with production, QA and technical sales teams.
