Job summary

Artemis Clarke Ltd. in Harlow, England, is seeking an Electro Mechanical Design Engineer for a permanent, full-time, office-based role.

You will produce conceptual designs for new products and develop mechanical and electrical components in line with engineering standards and customer needs. The role requires a relevant degree or HNC/D, experience in electro-mechanical design of distribution equipment, and proficiency in CAD (AutoCAD or Onshape).

Qualifications

• Relevant degree or HNC/D in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Experience in electro-mechanical design of electrical distribution equipment.
• Proficiency in 2D and/or 3D CAD software (AutoCAD, Onshape or similar).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Technically competent while being commercially aware.
• Enjoy problem-solving.
• Strong communicator, both verbal and written.
• Excellent organisational skills, with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Mechanical design and development of sheet metal enclosures and structural items.
• Electrical design and development of Low Voltage power distribution systems.
• Creating detailed drawings using either 2D or 3D CAD.
• Producing detailed bills of materials and manufacturing instructions.
• Working in accordance with the company’s engineering standards.
• Working in accordance with the company’s ISO 9001 quality assurance system.
• Working collaboratively with production, quality assurance, and technical sales teams.
• Producing comprehensive project and manufacturing documentation.
• Providing technical support during manufacturing.
