Job description

Electro–Mechanical Design Engineer

Location: Pulborough, West Sussex
Contract Length: 2 3 months (Immediate Start)
Hours: Monday to Friday, Full–Time

We are a global leader in high voltage power supplies for the medical, industrial, and scientific sectors and are seeking an Electro–Mechanical Design Engineer for a short–term assignment (2 3 months) supporting both the Production and NPI teams.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced CAD contractor with Inventor skills to contribute to critical updates across engineering and manufacturing documentation.

In this Electro–Mechanical Design Engineer role, you will:

  • Update and modify assembly drawings to reflect ECN (Engineering Change Note) requirements
  • Work from marked–up prints to define staged assembly visuals
  • Check and update BOMs (training provided) to align with current drawings and part usage
  • Use Autodesk Vault to manage design files in accordance with DCC procedures (training provided)
  • Collaborate with engineers in both the NPI and production teams to ensure data accuracy
  • Support ISO9001 quality and ISO14001 environmental initiatives

What We're Looking For:

  • Working knowledge of Inventor 2025 for IDW, IPN, and IAM file types
  • Familiarity with BOM structures and Inventor model alignment (preferred)
  • Experience with Autodesk Vault (preferred)
  • HNC/HND or equivalent in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
  • Background in electromechanical design, ideally high voltage
  • Competence with Microsoft Office suite
