Location: Dorchester, Dorset
Hours: Full Time, 35 hours per week
Working Days: Monday to Thursday
Working Hours: 07:00am – 16:30pm

Our client – a leading manufacturer of ruggedized ultrasonic measuring equipment used in critical industrial and subsea environments worldwide – is looking for an Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technician to join their growing production team.
What You’ll Be Doing:
As a key member of the Production Team, you’ll work closely with the Production Manager, assembling high-quality electro-mechanical components that form part of complex and reliable instrumentation. With full internal training provided, you’ll gain hands-on experience in a supportive, learning-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
– Assemble electro-mechanical and sub-assemblies across product lines.
– Solder wires and components onto circuit boards.
– Use hand tools, power tools, and small machines for mechanical tasks.
– Integrate PCBs into final product assemblies.
– Follow detailed work instructions, blue prints, and technical diagrams.
– Work with bonding and encapsulation chemicals.
– Carry out quality checks and ensure adherence to QA standards.
– Support various tasks within the production environment as needed.
Who We’re Looking For:
– Confident using hand tools and basic mechanical equipment.
– Some experience with soldering and electronic assembly.
– Comfortable working independently or as part of a team.
– Reliable, detail-oriented, and adaptable.
– Basic computer literacy.
