Job summary

GI Group is recruiting an Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technician for a 12-month contract at Stansted Ware (SG12). The role involves hands-on assembly and testing of electro-mechanical products, including servo motors and PCB sub-assemblies, from technical drawings.

You will fault-find, inspect and repair, using hand and power tools, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. 3–5 years in assembly is preferred, with a practical, detail-driven approach.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years experience in assembly/production (electro‑mechanical preferred).
• Confident reading engineering drawings and build specs.
• Proficient with T-bars, Allen keys, screwdrivers and power tools.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset.

Responsibilities

• Assemble components to build electro‑mechanical products according to drawings.
• Test completed assemblies for operation and functionality.
• Inspect, troubleshoot and diagnose faults; report and repair as needed.
• Perform basic maintenance on machinery and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety and quality standards.
