Job summary

DCS Recruitment is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Production Assembler for its Blackbushe facility in Hampshire. You will assemble electronic and mechanical components into subassemblies and finished units, following drawings and wiring schedules.

The role involves soldering, crimping and using production tools while maintaining quality and timely builds. You will work with Production Engineering, Stores and Quality to resolve issues, keep accurate records and support continuous improvement in a

• Education to GCSE standard.
• Experience in manufacturing assembly including soldering and crimping.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Confidence using soldering irons, crimping tools and other assembly equipment.
• Good IT skills and the ability to use production systems.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Good communication skills and a collaborative approach.
• A willingness to learn and develop your practical skills.
• Desirable: surface-mount soldering experience.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electronic and mechanical components, subassemblies and finished products.
• Follow engineering drawings, build instructions and wiring schedules.
• Carry out soldering and crimping using appropriate production tools.
• Use suitable meters to check assembled work where required.
• Maintain quality standards throughout the assembly process.
• Identify and report specification, design or assembly issues.
• Raise non-conformance reports in line with quality procedures.
• Complete builds within recommended assembly times wherever possible.
• Maintain production records and follow departmental procedures.
• Use the company ERP system for part enquiries, stock searches and production information.
• Support colleagues and work collaboratively across departments.
• Follow safe working practices and contribute to continuous improvement.

Electro-Mechanical Assembler / Production Assembler

Build Precision Products Within a Specialist Engineering Business

We are recruiting for an Electro-Mechanical Production Assembler to join a well-established engineering business at its Blackbushe facility.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with manufacturing assembly experience, including soldering and crimping, who enjoys practical work and producing high-quality products.

The Role

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will assemble electronic and mechanical components into subassemblies and finished units, following engineering drawings and wiring schedules.

You will work closely with Production Engineering, Stores and Quality to resolve assembly issues, maintain accurate records and complete builds within recommended production times.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assembling electronic and mechanical components, subassemblies and finished products.
• Following engineering drawings, build instructions and wiring schedules.
• Carrying out soldering and crimping using appropriate production tools.
• Using suitable meters to check assembled work where required.
• Maintaining quality standards throughout the assembly process.
• Identifying and reporting specification, design or assembly issues.

Skills and Experience Required

To be considered for this position, you should have:

Desirable Experience

• Surface-mount soldering experience.

Security Clearance Requirements

• UK nationals only; dual nationals cannot be considered for this position.
• Able to provide proof of UK residency for the last five years.
• Suitable to undergo the required security clearance process.
