Our client is a leading engineering and manufacturing company that provides mechanical components for the medical industry. Due to increased demand in the manufacturing department, they are looking for an Electro Mechanical Assembly Technician.

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure that health & safety and environmental precautions are followed and standards of cleanliness and tidiness are maintained.
  2. Use personnel protective equipment as requested by the company.
  3. Work according to company standards and procedures.
  4. Be part of a team to ensure output and quality targets are achieved, optimizing production performance.
  5. Work through the introduction of new products, recording information as required.
  6. Check and maintain tools and equipment, informing the Assembly Manager of any requirements.
  7. Rectify any problems with parts or processes as they arise.
  8. Train to be able to set up equipment as requested.
  9. Identify and actively pursue opportunities for continuous improvement within the production environment, especially in the assembly area.
  10. Align, fit, and assemble component parts using hand tools, power tools, and fixtures, following build procedures, models, and drawings.

Experience Required:

  1. Program PCB’s, install electrical and electronic parts in mechanical assemblies using soldering equipment and hand tools.
  2. Follow technical drawings, schematics, and build procedures.
  3. Analyze and record test results of manufactured parts.
  4. Solder to the required specification (IPC standard preferred).
  5. Good communication skills.
  6. IT literate with experience of Windows Microsoft Office.
  7. Good attention to detail.
  8. Work well in a team environment and on own initiative.
