Job description

Our client based in Basingstoke is looking to recruit a Production Technician to join their team on a Permanent basis. The ideal candidate for this role will be someone who enjoys working in a manufacturing environment, is extremely dexterous, and has experience working within a small batch environment. You will need to have a good hands-on understanding of Electromechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies.

Key Questions for Candidates:
  1. Are you extremely dexterous?
  2. Do you have experience with small component assembly?
  3. Can you read drawings and standard operating procedures to perform assembly tasks?
  4. Are you a good communicator and an effective member of a production team?
Responsibilities of the Electro-mechanical Assembler:
  1. Assemble electro-mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies according to drawings and quality objectives, including fault diagnosis and repair with minimal supervision.
  2. Work under a microscope with small batch sizes and be competent with fine wiring using 34AWG gauge.
  3. Set up and calibrate final products using automated and semi-automated electronic and thermal test equipment, ensuring test results are recorded electronically to create product test calibration certificates.
  4. Create or amend production documentation, such as Work Instructions and SOPs, and publish them according to company standards.
