Job summary

Raven Housing Trust is seeking an experienced Electrician to deliver high-quality electrical services across our housing stock, performing inspections, installations, and maintenance to current standards.

You will diagnose faults, complete on-site data entry, and support a multi-skilled trades team. The role includes an out-of-hours rota and ensuring safety in tenanted homes. A UK driving licence and PAT testing experience are required.

Qualifications

  • City & Guilds Level 3 in electrical installation or equivalent.
  • City & Guilds 2357, 2391/2394/2395 (Inspection & Testing), and 18th Edition (2382) qualifications.
  • Experience in residential electrical maintenance and repairs.
  • A strong understanding of health and safety, including working in tenanted homes.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • PAT Testing experience.
  • Previous voids experience including EICRs and CCU upgrades.
  • Experience in a multi-skilled role or minor general building repairs.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver safe and compliant electrical repairs and maintenance in occupied and empty properties, completing all jobs to current legislative and internal quality standards.
  • Diagnose faults accurately and carry out repairs or replacements efficiently, ensuring a right-first time outcome that minimises disruption for residents.
  • Complete all job data on-site in real time using hand-held IT systems, enabling live job tracking, accurate cost control, and improved performance reporting.
  • Contribute to the out-of-hours emergency rota by resolving urgent electrical faults to protect customer safety and service continuity.
  • Ensure plant, tools and vehicles are in good working order and compliant with safety standards, to prevent downtime and support job readiness.

Job description
