A leading engineering services company in Scotland seeks an Electrician for a 6-month project with Scottish Water. Responsibilities include installing equipment, terminating cables, and conducting tests. Ideal candidates will have 18th Edition certification and relevant experience. The position offers £26 per hour for 40 hours a week, starting ASAP.

Qualifications

  • Must hold 18th Edition certification.
  • Required NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation.
  • Experience in testing and inspection essential.

  • Install field equipment and cabling per specifications.
  • Gland and terminate new cable installations.
  • Perform cable testing before energisation.

Overview

Job Opportunity: Electrician (Water Industry) – Location: East Kilbride + Scottish Water Sites – Duration: 6 Months+ – Rate: £26 per hour (Umbrella/CIS) – Hours: 40 per week – Start Date: ASAP

Responsibilities
  • Installing field equipment and cabling to specification
  • Glanding and terminating new cable installations in line with design drawings
  • Performing cable testing ahead of energisation
  • Ensuring all works are completed to a high standard, safely and efficiently

You'll be part of a close-knit, multi-disciplinary team of electricians, mechanical fitters, and commissioning professionals, all working collaboratively to deliver critical infrastructure projects. A strong team ethic and a flexible, can-do attitude are essential.

Qualifications
  • 18th Edition (Required)
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Installation
  • City & Guilds 2391 Testing & Inspection (or equivalent)
  • Prior experience working on Scottish Water or similar utility/infrastructure projects
