Overview

Due to significant growth and our recent successful hiring campaign for two Electricians in our Urgent Repairs team, we’re excited to announce newly created roles within our Direct Labour Operation (DLO). Our Reactive Repairs team is once again expanding, and we’re now recruiting for a third Electrician to join us on a permanent basis (42.5 hours per week).

If you're a qualified Electrician who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working independently, and takes pride in delivering excellent customer service, we’d love to hear from you.

What you’ll be doing
  • Responding to a high volume of emergency and reactive electrical repairs in our customers’ homes.
  • Working mostly alone, with occasional team-ups for larger or more complex jobs.
  • Diagnosing and resolving faults quickly and effectively, aiming for a first-time fix.
  • Maintaining accurate records and completing all necessary documentation.
  • Representing Paradigm professionally and courteously at all times.
  • Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in line with current regulations.
  • Keeping your van stocked and tools in good order.
  • Optionally participating in out-of-hours work (voluntary, not required).
Essential Qualifications and Experience
  • City & Guilds 2365 (essential) or equivalent qualification.
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • Experience in housing repairs and maintenance
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • A full, clean UK driving licence
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure
  • Basic understanding of Health & Safety legislation

Area of Operations

Paradigm Housing Group manages a diverse portfolio of 17,000 properties located across Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, Berkshire, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire, Oxfordshire, Greater London, and surrounding areas. In this role, you will be required to travel throughout our property network to carry out Electrical repairs and ensure the continued safety and integrity of our homes.
