Job summary

Roundhouse Recruitment is seeking a Maintenance Electrician for a university campus in Reading. This days-based role offers £35,000–£45,000, plus £4,500 on-call bonus, 41 days holiday, overtime and clear progression paths, with access to relevant electrical qualifications.

You will maintain electrical systems across university buildings and occupied spaces. The ideal candidate holds a Level 3 NVQ in Electrical Installation or Maintenance, can diagnose faults, and work independently or in a team,

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical maintenance, fault diagnosis and compliance with regulations.
• Able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Willing to participate in an on-call rotation to support campus operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical maintenance on university buildings and occupied spaces.
• Respond to faults and diagnose issues in a timely manner.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance across estates and facilities.
