Job Title: Electrician - Training on Solar PV
Location: Covering South West
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 + Training + Life Assurance + Progression + 25 Days Holiday (+BH) + Pension

Are you a qualified electrician eager to enhance your skills and progress into the exciting and evolving renewable energy sector? This well-established company is the renewable engineering arm of a wholesaler, specializing in the design and installation of domestic and commercial solar PV projects across the South West and nationwide. Operating for over 12 years, they have built a reputation for honesty and integrity, with a team proud of their work. The business is thriving as the UK moves towards net zero targets.

They have exciting expansion plans and are looking to grow their engineering team to support future success. The Electrician will be responsible for the electrical installation and testing of solar PV and battery storage systems on domestic properties across the South West and commercial projects nationwide. Training on solar PV will be provided, and once proficient, you will work independently and train junior electricians. Occasional overnight stays will be required.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified electrician, NVQ Level 3 and/or time-served, with a desire to learn new technology and progress within the renewable sector. The company is willing to fund qualifications such as C&G 2391 Inspection and Testing for the right candidate. Excellent communication and customer service skills, along with a full UK Driving License, are essential.

Responsibilities:

• Electrical installation of Solar PV and battery storage systems on domestic and commercial rooftops
• Testing and signing off electrical work
• Ensuring health & safety standards and supervising trainee electricians on site
• Providing excellent customer service and respectful interaction with clients
• Covering the South-West region with some nationwide travel and stay aways to commercial sites

Person Specification:

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
• 18th Edition wiring regulations
• Experience in commercial/industrial environments (advantageous)
• 2391 Inspection and Testing (desirable)
• Experience with Solar PV (advantageous)
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Willing to travel across the South West and nationwide, with stay aways as required
• Full UK Driving License
