Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen within SLAM for an Electrician to join our Estates team at the Bethlem Royal Hospital. The Trust manages four main sites and community properties. Applicants should be able to organize their work, parts, and materials, and perform tasks safely and tidily. Flexibility for extra hours and altered duties is required to maintain service continuity. The ideal candidate should possess a good general knowledge of domestic and commercial building services.

As an Electrician, you will be enthusiastic, physically fit, and able to work as part of a large team. Your main activities include maintenance, reactive repairs, compliance monitoring, and remedial work at Bethlem Royal Hospital and community properties. You should be capable of working independently and be familiar with statutory checks in line with relevant standards. Knowledge of building structures, fire compartmentalization, and fire door maintenance is essential.

The Bethlem Royal Hospital is located in Croydon, accessible by train and bus. Our services extend across London boroughs and other locations, including substance misuse services in Bexley, Lambeth, Greenwich, and Wandsworth.
