Job summary

Daniel Owen Ltd. is recruiting an experienced Electrician to join our social housing responsive repairs team, covering properties within 90 minutes of Oxford.

You will perform repairs, maintenance, testing and installations inside tenants' homes, ensuring safe, high-quality work and compliance with 18th edition BS7671 standards. This is a long-term role with a weekly pay cycle, out-of-hours rota and a strong focus on customer service in occupied properties.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent).
• AM2 qualification.
• 18th Edition (BS7671).
• 2391-52 Testing & Inspection (or equivalent).
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Ability to pass a DBS check.
• Experience in social housing, domestic maintenance or responsive repairs.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Experience testing, inspection and certification.
• Excellent customer service in occupied properties.

Responsibilities

• Fault finding and electrical repairs.
• MCB and circuit breaker replacements.
• Full and partial rewires.
• Emergency and external lighting repairs.
• Installation and replacement of switches and sockets.
• Shower repairs and replacements.
• Smoke alarm installations and maintenance.
• Extractor fan installations and repairs.
• Electrical testing, inspection and certification.
• Completion of paperwork and certificates.
• Using handheld devices/job management systems.
