Job summary

Build Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Electrician for a social housing repairs and maintenance contract in Swindon and surrounding areas. You will perform fault finding, inspection and testing, including EICRs, while delivering safe, high-quality work to residents.

The role requires City & Guilds 2391, a recognised electrical qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3), and 18th Edition. A UK driving licence is essential, and prior social housing experience is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Qualified Electrician with City & Guilds 2391 and 18th Edition qualifications.
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent electrical qualification.
• Experience in domestic electrical repairs, fault finding, inspection and testing.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical repairs and maintenance in social housing properties.
• Diagnose electrical faults and complete remedial works.
• Undertake electrical inspection and testing, including EICRs.
• Repair and replace electrical accessories, fittings and components.
• Accurately complete test certificates and records of work.
• Work in occupied properties, treating residents with care and respect.
• Ensure all work meets current electrical regulations and health and safety requirements.
