Job summary

Abri is seeking a proactive Electrician to join the Planned Works Electrical Team, covering Yeovil and surrounding areas. You will perform high‑quality electrical installations, upgrades, and testing across investment projects to improve safety and energy efficiency in customers’ homes.

You'll ensure work is safe and compliant, collaborating with colleagues and contractors to deliver on planned programmes. A positive customer experience and professional conduct are essential.

Qualifications

• NVQ/AM2 or equivalent qualification is required.
• Full UK driving licence is required.
• Experience in social housing or planned maintenance is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality electrical installations, upgrades and testing across planned works programmes.
• Carry out full/partial property rewires and consumer unit replacements.
• Support kitchen/bathroom refurbishments and other investment projects to improve safety and energy efficiency.
• Ensure all work is completed safely, compliantly and to a high standard.
• Build positive relationships with customers and colleagues to deliver excellent service.

No two projects are the same. From full property rewires and consumer unit upgrades to electrical improvements as part of kitchen, bathroom and major refurbishment programmes, you’ll help deliver investment works that improve safety, comfort and energy efficiency across our housing stock.

Your New Role

We’re looking for a proactive and motivated Electrician to join our Planned Works Electrical Team, supporting our customers across Yeovil and the surrounding areas.

Working as part of our Planned Works team, you’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality electrical installations, upgrades, and testing across a range of improvement programmes. This could include full and partial rewires, consumer unit replacements, electrical upgrades associated with kitchen and bathroom refurbishments, and other investment projects designed to enhance our customers’ homes.

You’ll ensure all work is completed safely, compliantly and to a high standard, taking pride in delivering excellent workmanship and a positive customer experience. Working closely with colleagues, contractors and other trades, you’ll contribute to the successful delivery of planned investment programmes while helping us achieve our commitment to providing great homes for our customers.

As an ambassador for Abri, you’ll build positive relationships with customers and colleagues, demonstrating professionalism, respect and excellent service throughout every project.

What You’ll Need

• NVQ/AM2 (or equivalent)
• Full UK driving licence

Experience within social housing, planned maintenance, property investment or refurbishment programmes would be advantageous. What’s most important is your commitment to quality workmanship, safety and delivering excellent outcomes for our customers.
