Electrician - Littlecombe Depot - Dursley

Stroud District Council has an in-house Electrical Service that provides annual servicing, maintenance, and reactive repairs to tenants. We are seeking an electrician responsible for routine repairs, maintenance, condition reports, replacements, and installation of electrical equipment, with strong experience in electrical activities in tenanted properties.

The role involves problem solving, fault finding, and diagnosis, ensuring issues are resolved efficiently.

Key responsibilities will include:
  • Maintenance and repair of building services installations, including lighting, power, emergency lighting, energy conservation, heating controls, hot water, and renewable systems.
  • Undertaking Planned Preventative Maintenance, Electrical Inspections and Testing, Emergency Lighting, Electrical Heating, and Electrical Services across various buildings, ensuring compliance with relevant guidelines, statutes, and regulations.

You need to hold electrical qualifications such as City and Guilds NVQ Level 2 and 3 in Electrical Installations, 18th Edition (2382), and inspection and testing (2391). The successful candidate will help shape the service delivery, with experience in the sector and up-to-date knowledge of regulations and legislation.

This is a full-time position, 37 hours per week. Flexibility and commitment to delivering outcomes are essential, as the role may require going beyond the standard description. A full UK driving license is required, along with a passion for excellent customer service.
