Job summary

Allscreens Nationwide Ltd seeks a qualified Electrician (Level 3) to join a secure site maintenance team at HMP Elmley, Isle of Sheppey. The role focuses on planned electrical maintenance across the establishment, with a 12-week contract and a rate of £28.40 per hour via Umbrella.

Candidates should hold NVQ Level 3, 18th Edition BS7671, and have experience with industrial/commercial electrical systems. Security vetting will be required; a full UK driving licence is preferred.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671).
• Experience working on commercial or industrial electrical systems.
• Strong fault-finding and maintenance experience.
• Good understanding of planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a wider maintenance team.
• Full UK Driving Licence preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned electrical maintenance.
• Complete installations, testing and commissioning of electrical systems.
• Ensure all work is carried out in line with current regulations and health & safety standards.
• Complete inspection, testing and maintenance records accurately.
• Maintain compliance with site security procedures and operational requirements.
• Contribute to excellent service delivery across the estate.

Education

NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent

18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671)

Experience with commercial/industrial electrical systems

Fault-finding and maintenance

PPM knowledge

Independent work capability
