Salary: £39,000 + additional 5% basic salary in recognition of shift and weekend working

Contract: Full Time - Permanent

We are seeking a dedicated Electrician to join our team at HMP Feltham, a category C prison and Young Offender Institution (YOI) holding young people from 15 years old and men up to 30 years old.

As part of the Facilities Maintenance Team, your work will impact prisoners, staff, visitors, families, and the wider community.

As an Electrician, you will work alongside experienced colleagues including Plumbers, Carpenters, Painters, Cleaners, and Administrators, all dedicated to making a positive difference and ensuring safety and security.

We are a Ministry of Justice business providing critical services to HMPPS, seeking an Electrician with the following qualifications and experience:

1. Two years’ experience as an electrician
2. Experience with commercial or industrial electrical systems
3. Knowledge of planned preventive maintenance operations
4. Qualified to C&G 2367 or 2357 (Electrical Installation) and NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations or equivalent
5. 17th or 18th Edition wiring regulations
6. Certificate in BS7671
7. Good Health & Safety knowledge
8. Excellent organizational, time management, and people skills
