Qualifications

Job Opportunity: Electrician – Heathrow Airport
Location: Heathrow Airport

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Start Date: ASAP / Negotiable

We are looking for a qualified and reliable Electrician to join their growing team operating across Heathrow Airport. This role involves a mix of planned and reactive electrical works within one of the UK’s most high-profile and secure environments.

You'll be responsible for delivering high-quality electrical installations, maintenance, and minor project work across terminals and airside locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out electrical installations and modifications (lighting, power, containment, etc.)
  • Perform testing, inspection, fault finding, and repairs in line with current regulations
  • Support small refurbishments and project works across operational areas
  • Carry out reactive maintenance and ensure minimal disruption to airport operations
  • Ensure all works meet current IET Wiring Regulations (BS7671) and internal safety standards
  • Accurately complete job sheets and certification
  • Work safely and compliantly in a live airport environment, following all security and H&S protocols
Requirements:
  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671)
  • City & Guilds 2391 / 2394/95 (Inspection & Testing) – desirable
  • CSCS or ECS card
  • Previous commercial or industrial experience (airport or secure environments is a plus)
  • Must be eligible for Heathrow Airport security clearance (clean criminal record & right to work in the UK)
  • Full UK driving licence (desirable)

  • Position is fluid and as hourly paid salary moves in accordance with hours worked, no restrictions on hours / overtime
