Job summary

AC Corporation is seeking an Electrical Foreman to supervise apprentices, mechanics, and journeymen in the installation, testing, locating, and repair of electrical wiring and systems. You will ensure safe, compliant work and coordinate with superintendents, project managers, and clients to drive successful project outcomes.

The role requires at least 2 years of electrical experience, blueprint reading, NEC knowledge, and strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Must have 2+ years electrical experience.
• Able to read and interpret blueprints.
• Extensive knowledge of electrical systems and wiring.
• Must be able to use hand and power tools.
• Proficient with test meters and diagnostic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Direct apprentices, mechanics and journeymen on electrical tasks.
• Schedule daily job site functions and inspections.
• Select and purchase materials, tools, and equipment for projects.
• Inspect completed work for safety, quality and compliance.
• Maintain safety records, timesheets, and QA/QC documents.
• Mentor lower-level electricians and enforce company policies.

Primary Purpose

Electrical Foreman is a supervisor that directs apprentices, mechanics and journeymen. This role is responsible for successfully installing, testing, locating, and repairing electrical wiring, system and fixtures. Responsible for verifying correct installation. Works closely with superintendents, project managers and client to include participation in company and client meetings.

Typical Duties

• Give and follow specific directions
• Schedule daily job site functions to include required manpower.
• Schedule job site inspections.
• Responsible for selecting and purchasing appropriate material, tools and equipment for assigned job.
• Inspect completed work for compliance and specifications.
• Accurately maintain all required documentation relating to safety, project administration, purchase orders, change orders, as-built drawings, schedule and QA/QC.
• Submit timesheets and safety documentation.
• Mentor and assist lower-level electricians.
• Plan layout and install materials and/or equipment required by job.
• Connect power cables to equipment and install grounding leads.
• Test continuity of circuit to insure electrical compatibility and safety of components.
• Observe functioning of installed equipment or system to determine hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.
• Repair faulty equipment or systems.
• Responsible for enforcing company policies and procedures.
• Understand and comply with company/job safety requirements.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment.

Required Skills/Abilities

• General understanding of National Electrical Code (NEC)
• Ability to read blueprints
• Extensive knowledge of electrical systems and wiring
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools
• Proficient in the use of test meters and other diagnostic equipment
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of electrical experience
• Ability to interpret mechanical, plumbing and structural drawingsAbility to think critically and resolve problems
• Can communicate and give written instruction in a professional manner
• Comfortable with MS Office (EXCEL, Word, Outlook)
• Thorough understanding of safety requirements and OSHA guidelines
• Able to readand understand blueprints, sketches, labels, job site maps/directions, instruction manuals and written instructions accurately
• Must be high school graduate or hold G.E.D.
• Must have valid driver's license due to operating company vehicle
