Job description

This will involve you being responsible for working on projects for SPEN - Manweb.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Carry out installation of electrical equipment from LV to 132kV.
  • Carry out installation of LV boards, power and lighting.
  • Working on the SPEN substations.
  • Protection panel installation and wiring.
  • Install multi-core cabling.
  • Install containment for electrical systems.

About You:

Desirable Qualifications [& Professional Membership(s)]:

  • Qualified electrician – 18th Edition BS 7671 Wiring Regulations.
  • 2391 inspection and testing (preferred).
  • Must be time served and hold a current JIB Card.
  • An understanding of Electrical Power System.
  • Previous experience working on a DNO network/ HV private networks preferred but not essential (Training provided).

  • Ambitious.
  • Ability to work proactively on your own or in a team.
  • Safety conscious.
  • Ability to learn new skills.
  • Ensure work is to a high standard when working on client sites.
  • Work well as part of a team.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
