COMPANY OVERVIEW

Our client is one of the largest facilities management companies in the UK, providing a full range of Mechanical and Electrical services for commercial and industrial clients in the private and public sectors. With comprehensive in-house expertise, they offer consultation, detailed design, installation, commissioning, and ongoing service and maintenance of M&E products and services.

Due to continued growth, our client is seeking an Electrician with the FGAS qualification to cover the East Midlands.

JOB PURPOSE

Complete planned maintenance to a high standard to ensure the equipment operates reliably, minimizes breakdowns and downtime, is safe to operate, and safety-critical items are fully operational. Maintain up-to-date, clear, and concise maintenance records. Complete emergency reactive calls logged to achieve the client’s 95% first-time fix target. Conduct site surveys as requested by the client. Act as a company representative to uphold standards and beliefs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Collect and fit parts as directed by the Senior Managing Engineer / Operations Manager.
  2. Diagnose and repair HVAC/M&E equipment breakdowns.
  3. Perform planned HVAC/M&E PPMs.
  4. Handle HVAC/M&E calls as allocated by Service Control.
  5. Update service records and timekeeping accurately and promptly.
  6. Update client reporting systems accurately and promptly.
  7. Work safely in accordance with health and safety procedures.
  8. Participate in standby rota to ensure emergency cover for retail clients when required.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

  • Level 3 NVQ in Electrical Installations
  • FGAS Cat 1 qualification
  • Experience working on air conditioning units
  • Excellent fault-finding and repair skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Understanding of administration procedures
  • Positive attitude, motivated, and enthusiastic
  • Approachable, team-oriented
  • Excellent customer care and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to quality and attention to detail

SALARY/BENEFITS

  • £42,500 + Paid Door to Door + Overtime (OTE £50k)
