Job description

We are seeking an experienced Electrician to join our Facilities Management Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the electrical maintenance, compliance and contribute to the improvement of Rathbane Group's property portfolio. This role requires a skilled professional with expertise in electrical systems, troubleshooting, and energy efficiency solutions to ensure the smooth operation of our buildings.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out the maintenance, repair, inspection and upgrades of electrical systems across the property portfolio
• Ensure all electrical installations comply with current regulations and safety standards
• Conduct Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) to ensure all electrical equipment is safe and compliant.
• Carry out Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR), identifying and rectifying potential hazards.
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance and respond to electrical faults or emergencies.
• Manage contractors and service providers for electrical work, ensuring quality and compliance.
• Provide technical expertise on energy efficiency improvements and sustainability initiatives.
• Keep accurate records of electrical works, inspections, and compliance documentation.
• Assist in planning and executing electrical upgrades and system improvements.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations and company policies.
• Review technical documentation
  
• Work closely with other facilities management staff to maintain overall property efficiency.

The Ideal Person will

• Have 5+ years of experience in electrical installation and maintenance,
• Have strong knowledge of electrical regulations and standards.
• Have experience with PAT testing and EICR testing, with relevant certification.
• Have experience with HV/LV systems, emergency lighting, fire alarms, and BMS (Building Management Systems).
• An understanding of energy efficiency and sustainable electrical solutions, focusing on solar PV systems.
• Have Basic IT skills
• Valid CSR Card or equivalent

It would be desirable but not essential if the person had experience in a facilities management environment.

This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and involves regular travel to Newry, Antrim, Monaghan, Belfast, Ballykelly and Toomebridge.
