Hays is looking for a Maintenance Electrician in Edinburgh

Hays are seeking a qualified maintenance electrician to work with one of our clients based in Edinburgh. This role is essential in maintaining electrical systems across multiple buildings, ensuring safety and high standards for customers, staff, and visitors.

Your new role

You will join the on-site trade team working within various building types across Edinburgh City Centre. Your duties will include:

• Inspecting, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures.
• Ensuring compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and organizational policies.
• Conducting preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and electrical issues.
• Diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical problems.
• Installing and upgrading electrical systems, including wiring, circuit breakers, and lighting.
• Responding promptly to emergency maintenance requests.

What you'll need to succeed

You must be a UK-qualified Electrician with a valid ECS card and a UK driving license. As this role involves working within existing buildings, strong customer service skills and the ability to work with diverse members of the public are essential.
