Job Summary

As an Electrician & Electrical Technician at Tazzergroup, you will be responsible for installing, inspecting, and testing electrical systems and equipment to ensure they are functioning safely and efficiently. Your role will involve maintaining traditional electrical systems in homes, shops, and offices, as well as working with advanced technologies such as renewable energy systems and fiber-optics. You will also have the opportunity to service motors, transformers, street lighting, and traffic systems, or participate in large-scale engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspecting Electrical Systems: Conduct thorough inspections of electrical systems, wiring, and equipment to identify and rectify issues, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Installing Electrical Systems: Install and connect sockets, switches, light fittings, appliances, and other electrical components, ensuring proper and safe functionality.
  • Laying Cables: Lay cables to connect various electrical equipment to power sources and computer networks, ensuring efficient and reliable connections.
  • Installing Security Systems: Work on the installation and maintenance of security systems, including street lighting and traffic management systems.
  • Fitting Fiber-Optic Cables: Install and maintain fiber-optic cables to support high-speed data transmission and connectivity.
  • Maintaining Machinery: Perform maintenance on electrical motors, transformers, and other machinery to ensure their optimal performance.
  • Programming Intelligent Buildings: Program and maintain computer-controlled systems in intelligent buildings, enhancing automation and energy efficiency.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to strict safety regulations and stay updated on new electrical legislation to ensure all work meets industry standards.
  • Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergency call-outs, such as power cuts, and provide effective solutions to restore services.
  • Construction Site Work: Work on construction sites, in domestic, commercial, or industrial settings, contributing to the safe and efficient completion of electrical installations.
