Uxbridge, West London
£31,632 - £33,621 + Excellent Pension + 36-Hour Week + Free Parking + Subsidised Gym + Dental Insurance + Career Development
Are you an experienced Electrician or Electrical Installation professional looking for a better work-life balance, greater job security and the opportunity to put your industry experience to good use?
Would you enjoy stepping away from the demands of site work, travelling between jobs and tight deadlines, while still remaining involved in the electrical industry and helping develop the next generation of electricians?
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and growing education provider that is investing in its electrical installation and building services facilities.
The organisation prides itself on creating a supportive working environment, offering a fantastic benefits package including a Teachers' or Local Government Pension Scheme, incremental salary progression, ongoing training and development, internal promotion opportunities, free parking, subsidised gym membership, dental insurance, enhanced maternity and paternity leave, and public transport season ticket loans. With a 36-hour working week and a stable, permanent position, this is a great opportunity for someone who values work-life balance, long-term security and making a genuine difference.
In this role, you will support the delivery of electrical installation training by ensuring workshops, tools and equipment are maintained, organised and ready for practical lessons. Working alongside experienced lecturers, you will prepare materials, maintain equipment, support students during practical activities and demonstrate safe working techniques. Importantly, this is a workshop support position rather than a formal teaching role, allowing you to share your practical knowledge without taking on the full responsibilities of a lecturer.
The ideal candidate will have practical experience within electrical installation, a good understanding of electrical tools, equipment and health and safety, and the ability to communicate their knowledge effectively. You could currently be working as an Electrician, Electrical Technician, Maintenance Electrician or in a similar hands‑on electrical role. Previous teaching experience is not essential, provided you enjoy helping others, have a patient and approachable manner and are comfortable supporting young people in a practical workshop environment.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced electrical professional looking for a rewarding change of pace, excellent employment benefits and the chance to share their knowledge in an environment where their experience will genuinely be valued.
We are an equal opportunities company and welcome applications from all suitable candidates.
