Job summary

Connolly Limited is seeking qualified Electricians to perform EICR testing and remedials in occupied social housing across the North West, including Bolton, Wigan, Manchester and Preston. The role offers day rate / price work with pre-booked appointments, and a steady pipeline of contracts from local authorities.

As an Electrician, you’ll carry out EICR tests, identify defects, carry out remedial works, maintain safety standards, and provide accurate certification and reporting.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation and related certificates.
• City & Guilds 2391, 2394 and/or 2395 qualifications.
• Full UK Driving Licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out EICR testing within domestic occupied properties.
• Complete remedial works identified during inspections.
• Undertake electrical repairs and installations when required.
• Ensure all works comply with BS7671 regulations.
• Maintain high health and safety standards on site.
• Communicate professionally with tenants and residents.
• Manage van stock and materials efficiently.
• Provide accurate certification and reporting documentation.

Looking for consistent, pre-booked EICR work?

Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured contracts, Connolly is looking for qualified Electrical Sub-Contractors to support our Social Housing programmes across the North West.

Working within occupied domestic properties, you'll carry out EICR testing, electrical repairs and remedial works on behalf of local authorities and housing associations.

With pre-booked appointments averaging four tests per day, this role offers excellent earning potential and a consistent workload.

The Role

As an Electrician, you'll be responsible for carrying out Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs), identifying defects and completing associated remedial works to ensure properties remain safe and compliant.

Working independently or as part of a wider team, you'll deliver a high-quality service while maintaining excellent customer relationships with tenants and clients.

What We're Looking For

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation
  • C&G 2330, 2360, 2357 or 2365 (or equivalent)
• City & Guilds 2391, 2394 and/or 2395
• Previous experience carrying out EICR testing and remedial works
• Strong understanding of current wiring regulations
• Good IT and reporting skills
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Asbestos Awareness desirable but not essential
• Experience working within occupied properties or Social Housing is desirable
