Job summary

Manpower Group (UK) is seeking a qualified domestic electrician for a long-term contract covering Chichester and surrounding areas. The role involves rewiring, installing and upgrading electrical installations in domestic properties, with a focus on kitchens and bathrooms.

You will work with other trades, perform inspections and certifications, and ensure safety and compliance in occupied homes while maintaining accurate records. A full UK driving licence is essential for site visits.

Qualifications

• Qualified electrician with domestic experience
• Experience in kitchen/bathroom electrical adaptations
• Knowledge of BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations) and Part P
• Experience with EIC and EICRs where required
• Full UK driving licence and reliable transport

Responsibilities

• Carry out full and partial rewires of domestic properties.
• Install, modify and upgrade circuits, sockets, lighting and related accessories.
• Perform first- and second-fix electrical work with other trades.
• Complete inspections, testing and certification of installations (BS 7671 & Part P).
• Issue EICs and contribute to EICRs where required.
• Diagnose and rectify faults in domestic settings.
• Maintain records and complete paperwork; notify/self-certify work.
• Follow safe isolation procedures and risk assessments.
• Occasionally undertake light commercial electrical work.
• Provide a professional service in occupied and void properties.

Pay: £26,000 - £39,000 - Weekly Pay

Hours: Monday - Friday - 8:00am - 4:30pm

Are you a domestic electrician looking for stable, long-term work with consistent jobs and a supportive team? We're recruiting for a role offering ongoing work for at least 12 months, covering a variety of domestic electrical tasks across Chichester and nearby areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out full and partial rewires of domestic properties, with a strong focus on kitchen and bathroom adaptations and upgrades.
• Install, modify, and upgrade electrical circuits, consumer units, sockets, lighting, extractors, and related accessories in kitchens and bathrooms.
• Perform first-fix and second-fix electrical work in coordination with plumbers, joiners, tilers, and other trades.
• Complete inspection, testing, and certification of electrical installations in line with the current edition of BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations) and Building Regulations Part P.
• Issue Electrical Installation Certificates (EICs) and, where required, contribute to Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs).
• Diagnose and rectify electrical faults in domestic settings.
• Maintain accurate records, complete relevant paperwork, and ensure all work is properly notified or self-certified as appropriate.
• Follow safe isolation procedures, risk assessments, and method statements at all times.
• Occasionally undertake light commercial electrical work as required.
• Provide a professional and courteous service to customers while working in occupied and void properties.

Essential Requirements

• Qualified electrician with relevant Level 3 electrotechnical qualifications.
• Current 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• Inspection & Testing qualification (City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent) preferred.
• Experience of domestic rewires and kitchen/bathroom electrical adaptations.
• Ability and willingness to work collaboratively with other trades on site.
• Full UK driving licence and reliable transport.
• Strong understanding of health & safety, including safe isolation and working in occupied homes.

Desirable

• Previous experience working in multi-trade environments (e.g. kitchen/bathroom refurbishments).
• ECS Gold Card (Domestic Electrician or Installation Electrician).
• Experience of light commercial work.
