Job description

Our Global client is seeking a qualified electrician to join their engineering team based in the IV2 postcode, reporting to the Electrical Supervisor. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience and expertise in electrical maintenance.

**Responsibilities: **

- Safely and efficiently utilise all electrical equipment onsite.

- Collaborate with production and engineering teams.

- Repair electrical breakdowns across the site.

- Modify and improve procedures and programs as needed.

- Perform preventative maintenance on all electrical equipment.

- Identify and report any signs of equipment failure.

- Maintain up-to-date documentation, including logbooks and program additions/changes.

- Install and commission equipment and services as requested.

- Perform isolation and de-isolation procedures per the permit-to-work code of practice.

**Essential Qualifications: **

- Qualified to City & Guilds level or above.

- Experience in industrial maintenance.

- Knowledge of PLC systems, preferably Allen Bradley 5/40 and Siemens Step 5.

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

- Willingness to work towards completing the 18th Edition certification.

- Availability to cover for the shift electrician as needed.
