Job description

  1. Carrying out routine preventative maintenance on electrical systems
  2. Attending to reactive repairs
  3. Working alongside other mechanical and electrical trades
  4. Taking part in the out-of-hours emergency rota

Please note that if the role is re-evaluated or the salary changes due to the Pay and Grading Review, the allowance may be reduced or cease entirely. If the salary changes due to the NJC Pay Award, the supplement allowance will be adjusted accordingly to maintain the intended pay differential.

You will be a time-served electrician with:

  • City & Guilds/NVQ3 qualification in electrical installations
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)
  • AM2 (Achievement Measurement 2)
  • Inspect & Test 2391/2 or 2394/5
  • Experience working on electrical installations in commercial, industrial, and residential properties
  • Experience in fault finding and repairs on lighting, control systems, emergency lighting, distribution systems, water heaters, space heaters
  • Ability to travel countywide, including outside standard work hours and areas not serviced by public transport

The salary for this role is £32,597 - £36,363 per annum, with a supplement allowance of £3,000 per annum. This allowance is subject to deductions and will expire on 01/02/2027. The allowance is reviewed every 18 months and may be adjusted or withdrawn based on organisational needs, role changes, or market conditions.
