Salary – Depend on Experience

Working Hours – 8:00- 16:30 (Monday- Friday)

MJ Quinn is a contractor for the provision of Mechanical, Electrical and Telecommunications services. We currently have an exciting new opportunity for a Maintenance Electrician to work within our Mechanical, Electrical & Building Maintenance Division. The sites will be predominantly based in the following areas such as Maryport, Whitehaven, Workington, and the surrounding areas.

Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the Contracts Manager within the MEB Maintenance Division, you will be carrying out the servicing, maintenance, installation, and commissioning of our products, acting as a line of support to our clients where you will:
  • Carry out servicing and maintenance repairs of electrical systems, equipment, fixtures, and related electro-mechanical systems in accordance with applicable Electrical Industry Codes.
  • Carry out small to medium installation works within our client buildings across the Mersey care contract.
  • Identify faults, hazards, and rectifying.
  • Routinely inspect electrical systems such as wiring, fixtures, and appliances.
  • Trouble shooting system failures.
  • Writing electrical maintenance reports.
  • Install new electrical appliances in the building.
  • Adhere to safety to safety and performance standards.
  • Be able to provide NICEIC reports.
  • Work as part of a team to deliver projects on time and to a high standard.

Qualifications/ Experience

  • 18th Edition qualification in Electrical Systems.
  • Ideally, we are looking for someone who has facilities management background.
  • Hold a full driving license with no more than 6 penalty points and no bans within the last 12 months.
  • Be available for an on-call rota.
  • Have experience in the relevant field in a previous role.
  • Maintenance in a commercial environment is preferred.
