Gov Facility Services Limited is hiring an Electrician for HMP Leyhill in Gloucestershire. The role is Monday to Friday, supporting the Facilities Maintenance Team in maintaining safe, reliable electrical systems within the prison environment.

You will work with Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters and other colleagues to deliver planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring compliance with BS7671 and health & safety standards. A strong team ethos is essential.

Qualificações

• Certificate in BS7671:2018 (18th edition) required.
• Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation or Electrotechnical Services with AM2/AM2S.
• Minimum two years' experience as a fully qualified electrician.
• Experience on commercial or industrial electrical systems.
• Good Health and Safety knowledge.
• Excellent organisational, time management and people skills.

We are seeking a dedicated fully qualified Electrician to join our team at HMP Leyhill, an open, adult, male prison.

As an Electrician, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced and passionate colleagues who vary from Plumbers, other Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, to Cleaners, and Administrators, and others, who are all dedicated to making a positive difference, providing a safe and secure environment for all.

We are a Ministry of Justice business and provide critical and time-bound services to HMPPS, and are looking for an Electrician with a combination of:

• Certificate in BS7671:2018 (18th edition)
• Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation or Electrotechnical Services (City & Guilds/EAL), including relevant NVQs and competency assessments (AM2/AM2S). For example: 2367 or 2357.
• Two years' experience working in a role as a fully qualified electrician
• Experience working on commercial or industrial electrical systems
• Good working knowledge of planned and preventive maintenance operations
• Good Health & Safety knowledge
• Excellent organisational, time management and people skills

Future Plans.

GFSL has been notified by it's shareholder (MOJ) that the provision of FM Services will in future be delivered by the private sector. This means that following a successful procurement process, GFSL's services will complete transfer to a private sector provider/providers no sooner than August 2027.
