Job summary

Gov Facilities Services Limited (GFSL) seeks a dedicated Electrician to join the Facilities Maintenance Team at HMP The Mount in Hemel Hempstead. The role involves maintaining electrical systems across a high-security environment, ensuring safety, reliability and compliance with BS7671 standards.

We are seeking a dedicated Electrician to join our team at a HMP The Mount, a category C prison.

As a Electrician, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced and passionate colleagues who vary from Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, to Cleaners, and Administrators, and others, who are all dedicated to making a positive difference, providing a safe and secure environment for all.

We are a Ministry of Justice business and provide critical and time-bound services to HMPPS, and are looking for a Electrician with any combination of:

• Two years' experience working in a role as an electrician
• Experience working on commercial or industrial electrical systems
• Good working knowledge of planned preventive maintenance operations
• Electrician qualified to C&G 2367 or 2357 (Electrical Installation) and NVQ level 3 in Electrical Installations or equivalent
• 18th Edition
• Certificate in BS7671
• Good Health & Safety knowledge.
• Excellent organisational, time management and people skills.
