Job summary

Pyramid Plus, a joint venture between A2Dominion and Mears Property Services, is seeking a skilled Electrician for field-based work in Staines and Winchester. You will maintain, repair and install electrical systems in tenanted homes, ensuring safety and compliance.

This is a full-time permanent role with a company vehicle and fuel card. You will diagnose faults, perform first fixes and rewires, and communicate clearly with tenants while upholding high customer service standards.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installations required (AM2 preferred).
• City & Guilds 18th Edition required (17th edition acceptable with plan to upgrade).
• Inspection and Testing 2391 or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Repair and replace electrical accessories in tenanted properties.
• Inspect, test and certify electrical installations for compliance.
• Diagnose faults in consumer units and carry out rewires as needed.
• Install new sockets, lights, switches and extractor fans.
• Work independently or in a team to meet repair targets.
• Maintain safe, clean, and compliant work areas and communicate with tenants.

Salary up to £47,500 per annum, plus, company van & fuel card

42.5 hours per week (8-5 Monday- Friday)

Serving over 23,500 homes, we complete more than 38,000 repairs, 1,000 void refurbishments, and install 600 kitchens and bathrooms each year. This role offers the opportunity to be a key member of the senior management team, driving the successful delivery of our planning and customer service functions at the heart of our operations.

We are currently seeking a skilled and qualified Electrician to join our team in Staines/ Winchester. This is a practical, field-based role working primarily within tenanted properties, where you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair and installation of electrical systems.

You will play a key role in ensuring homes are safe, compliant and fit for occupation, delivering reactive repairs, planned maintenance and supporting wider refurbishment programmes. With a strong pipeline of work and an expanding presence in the area, this role offers an excellent opportunity to join a team that is making a positive impact within the local community.

Electrical Duties:

• Repair and replace faulty electrical accessories, including socket outlets, light fittings, switches and extractor fans.
• Inspect, test and certify electrical installations to ensure compliance with current regulations and safety standards.
• Fault diagnosis and rectification of consumer units (fuse boxes).
• Installation of new electrical accessories, including socket outlets, light fittings, switches and extractor fans.
• Carry out first fix electrical works, including full and partial rewires.
• Install additional socket outlets, cabling and associated accessories as required.
• Work independently or as part of a team to achieve daily repair and completion targets.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with tenants and residents, explaining the nature of works and expected outcomes.
• Ensure work areas are left clean, safe and tidy on completion of all tasks. Fully with all health and safety policies, procedures and risk assessments.
• Always deliver a high standard of customer care.
• Use relevant IT and job management systems to manage, prioritise and complete workloads efficiently and within agreed timescales.

Role Criteria:

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations - to include AM2
• City & Guilds 18th Edition (If you have 17th edition you can work through your 18th edition)
• Inspection and Testing 2391 or equivalent (2394/2395)
• Full UK driving licence with a clean driving record
• Previous domestic, social housing experience
