Job summary

Fusion People Ltd is recruiting two Electricians to join a leading science and engineering organisation in Culham, Oxfordshire. The role is fully site based with 37 hours per week, paying 25.50 per hour PAYE (or 35.00 umbrella).

Qualifications

• Electrical craft apprenticeship.
• City and Guilds 2357 (AM2) or equivalent, updated to BS th Edition.
• City and Guilds 2395 (Inspection and Testing) or equivalent.
• Proven ability to work safely to a Written Safe System of Work (WSSOW).
• Previous experience in an industrial or commercial environment.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of installation phases, lead installation teams.
• Install distribution equipment to current regs and local standards.
• Build, wire and commission control cubicles.
• Test, commission and fault-find on control and distribution equipment.
• Set tasks and supervise electricians and apprentices.
• Prioritise daily tasks and allocate work across project teams.
• Maintain high safety standards and Safe Systems of Work.

We are recruiting 2 Electricians to join a leading science and engineering organisation in Culham, supporting electrical installation delivery across a large and varied industrial site.

This is a long term contract running through to June 2027 on a standard 37 hour week, so it offers real stability and a proper work life balance alongside the variety of working across multiple live projects. Pay is 25.50 per hour PAYE, with an umbrella option at 35.00 per hour for anyone who prefers it.

The role

You will lead on a broad range of electrical work in an industrial environment, covering installation, commissioning, fault finding, maintenance and repair, all in line with current legislation and codes of practice.

Day to day you will be:

• Taking ownership of the installation phase of projects, working to plan and to timescales, including leading installation teams
• Installing indoor and outdoor electrical distribution equipment to current regs and local standards
• Building, wiring and commissioning electrical control cubicles
• Testing, commissioning and fault finding on electrical control and distribution equipment
• Setting work and supervising less experienced electricians and apprentices
• Prioritising daily tasks and allocating work across diverse project teams
• Maintaining high safety standards and working to Safe Systems of Work at all times

What you will need

• Electrical craft apprenticeship
• City and Guilds 2357 (AM2) or equivalent, updated to BS th Edition
• City and Guilds 2395 (Inspection and Testing) or equivalent
• Proven ability to work safely to a Written Safe System of Work (WSSOW)
• Previous experience in an industrial or commercial environment

Desirable

• Knowledge of large distribution networks
• Supervisory experience
