Electrician - Renewable Energy Installations

Location: Leamington Spa

Contract: Temp to Perm

Van provided if required

We're looking for a qualified and motivated Electrician to join our team, working on a range of renewable energy projects. If you have a passion for sustainability and are experienced in solar PV installations, we'd love to hear from you.

What you'll be doing:

  1. Installing, testing, and commissioning domestic and/or commercial solar PV systems
  2. Reading and interpreting electrical schematics and technical drawings
  3. Working with both AC and DC circuits, inverters, isolators, and fault finding
  4. Using remote monitoring systems, data loggers, and mobile apps
  5. Ensuring all works meet health & safety standards and UK building regulations
  6. Preparing and following risk assessments and method statements (RAMS)
  7. Reporting any unsafe appliances, installations, or equipment
  8. Operating tools and machinery safely
  9. Travelling locally or nationally depending on the project
  10. Flexibility to work overtime or weekends if needed

What we're looking for:

  1. Recognised electrical apprenticeship and/or full electrical qualifications (Essential)
  2. 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations (Essential)
  3. ECS Gold Card (Essential)
  4. Solar PV experience preferred - training available
  5. Understanding of MCS Accreditation (Microgeneration Certification Scheme)
  6. Familiarity with G98/G99 (grid connection regs) and PAS 2030 (for retrofit/funded work)
  7. One or more of the following qualifications is desirable:
  • City & Guilds 2399 - Solar Photovoltaic Installation
  • LCL Level 3 - Installation & Maintenance of Solar PV Systems
  • BPEC Solar PV Installer Course
  • Full UK driving licence with no more than 7 points
  • Full set of tools
  • Passion for renewable energy and innovation
