Job description

EQUANS is recruiting for an Electrician based in Oldham. This is a permanent full-time role working 37 hours per week. The package includes a salary of £41,000, van & fuel card, and benefits.

General Overview

The Electrician will perform duties in accordance with statutory regulations, company policies, and procedures. The role involves assisting the team to produce quality work safely, adhering to SHEQ requirements, policies, and strategies.

Key Accountabilities

  1. Perform electrical tasks to a high standard, including replacement of consumer units, installing final sub-circuit wiring, fault finding, replacing circuit accessories, extractor fans, and light fittings, and testing according to wiring regulations (BS). Complete relevant certifications such as EICR, EIC, and Minor works.
  2. Ensure adherence to company quality standards, including compliance with specifications and material/workmanship schedules.
  3. Provide high-quality customer care in a professional manner.
  4. Maintain and care for all company tools.
  5. Achieve first-time fix where possible.
  6. Use appropriate safety equipment and wear suitable clothing/uniform.
  7. Keep work areas clean and tidy.
  8. Responsible for and care of the company van per policy.
  9. Manage keys for communal entrances, meter cupboards, and facilitate access as needed.
  10. Liaise with clients, consultants, contract administrators, and head office.
  11. Coordinate materials and ensure timely completion of documentation.
  12. Perform other reasonable management requests.
