Job summary

Qualifications

• Assist in installations and planned works with the Electrical Team.

Job Opportunity: Electrician

We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified Electrician to join our hardworking team. We are looking for a bright spark to ignite their potential in helping to maintain our homes and make a difference for our tenants. The majority of the work will be in and around Norwich, but travel may be required throughout Norfolk and North Suffolk. The role involves carrying out reactive works including fault finding, void and EICR Electrical works to our homes.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Take ownership for effective and efficient electrical repairs in occupied and vacant homes.
2. Work as part of a team to carry out the company in-house EICR domestic testing programme.
3. Support the Planned Electrical Team with installations and planned works such as Aids and Adaptations / Kitchens.

The successful candidate should have one or more of the following qualifications or equivalents depending on qualifying period:

• City and Guilds 5357 including AM2S
• City and Guilds NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation
• City and Guilds 2360 – Part 1 and Part 2
• City and Guilds 2330 Level 2 and Level 3

Additional requirements include:

• AM2 depending on when NVQ was completed.
• City and Guilds or equivalent 2382 (18th Edition of the Wiring Regulations).
• Ideally, a City and Guilds 2391 Inspection and Testing qualification (or willingness to work towards it).
• A valid Driving Licence, as travel throughout Norfolk and North Suffolk will be required.
• Experience in Property Maintenance.

The successful candidate will need to undertake a basic Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and will join our on-call rota.
