Job Title: Electrician

Join us at Home Group and be part of our fantastic repairs and maintenance team. We are looking for an experienced Electrician to carry out high-quality, right-first-time maintenance across our properties in the North East.

Position Details

Type: Permanent, full-time (37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with on-call rota)

Salary: £37,620 per annum plus van, with a generous on-call allowance of up to £525 per week, and benefits including a Health Cash Plan.

Responsibilities

• Complete all allocated jobs right first time, providing excellent service for our customers.
• Conduct testing, inspection, electrical installation, and repairs.
• Deliver high-quality, compliant work.
• Utilize multi-skilling to improve first-time fixes and reduce visits to customers’ homes.
• Work across properties in the North East, with scheduled jobs to ensure clarity on locations.

Candidate Requirements

• City and Guilds NVQ Level 3 in electrical installation or equivalent.
• Qualified to 18th edition IET wiring regulations, electrical inspection and testing (2391), and AM2 or equivalent.
• Experience in electrical repairs, installation, testing, and inspection within housing.
• Fault finding expertise and strong diagnostic skills.
• Experience in other building trades (multi-skilled).
• Flexible, proactive, and able to use your own initiative.

Additional Details

• Work schedule includes out-of-hours on a rota basis, with additional on-call payments.
• Based in Belmont, Durham, covering the North East.
• Proficiency with technology for logging jobs, online learning, and collaboration required.
• Basic DBS check required (paid for by us).
• Full valid driving license required; a company van will be provided.
